A brief update from our March meeting
We agreed to support UNISON in their campaign against outsourcing
in Essex County Council. A succesful morning was spent in collecting
signatues on petitions and protest postcards on Saturday 21.03.09.
Campaigning against BNP was ongoing, with activity on thursday
lunchtimes in the town centre. Check with Bob Lambert for planned
dates if you want to support.
Discussion on the "Put People First Campaign" and
the March & Demonstration on 28.03.09. concern was expressed over
the lack of information on transport for the event.
This saturday was one of the weekends when rail services were disrupted
because of engineering works......
Other campaigns were discussed - Royal Mail Privatisation,
RMT Anti Privatisation Campaign.
