July 2009 Meeting
My thanks to colleagues who attended the meetring. there was much
to discuss.
In the absence of Bob Lambert - Mike Fletcher chaired the meeting.
Campaigning
ECC outsourcing - nothing further to report as yet.
Royal Mail Privatisation - Whilst not now being pursued by government
- will no doubt return to the agenda.... Locally CWU are in dispute
over a range of issues which will ikely result in strike action.
FBU - Cuts in Fire Service. Bob Lambert & Mike Fletcher have been
collecting signatures in support of FBU.
The meeting were made aware of pending strike action affecting First
Bus Essex and RMT in National Express East Anglia.
