Welcome
Bob Lambert welcomed everyone to the meeting and gave a warm welcome
to a new delegate, Phil Wilson of T & G 1/979 branch.

These had already been circulated and agreed by the meeting.

Chair's Report
Bob Lambert spoke briefly on Council's Activities
Secretary's Report
Chris Burrow thanked the members of Executive Committee for their
help over the past year. Delegates were thanked for supporting Trades
Council.
A brief summary activity over the past year covered our meetings,
the Alternative Oyster Feast, and other events where the TUC was Present.
The Secretary was thanked for his efforts over the past year.
Treasurer's Report
The Income & Expenditure Account, Balance Sheet for both the Main
Account and Sub Committee Account had already been sent to delegates.
The financial situation on the main account was the best for a number
of years.
The Sub Committee Account has a very good balance to help fund the
Alternative Oyster Feast for 2006.
The Treasurer was thanked for managing the finances of the Council.
Alternative Oyster Feast.
This had previously been discussed. The question of "gifts"
for those attending the event was discussed.

The meeting agreed that this should be £50 for 2006
Resolution for Trades Union Council
Conference.
This would have to be put forward
via the Essex Association of Trades Union Councils annual meeting.
A range of issues were discussed -
-EU Directives on Services
-Health & Safety deregulation
-War in Iraq
-Energy Crisis
-Managing Attendance
It was agreed to put forward resolution
on, EU Directives on Services and Managing Attendance.
Nominations to SERTUC Sub Committees
These will be left to delegates attending the annual meeting of Essex
Association of Trades Union Councils.
The Annual General Meeting closed at 9.15pm and was followed by a
general meeting of the Council.
